The John Marshall Law School Review of Intellectual Property Law’s “Young Patent Practitioner Series” aims to help young patent practitioners, including patent attorneys, patent agents, law school students, and persons preparing for the patent bar exam, increase their understanding of patent law and procedure. We begin this series with “Patent Law 101 (MPEP 2100 Summary),” a lesson from Sangik Bae, an intellectual property attorney at Ladas & Parry, LLP ‘s Chicago office. Mr. Bae’s attached post provides an introductory lesson on patent law and procedure, specifically focusing on Chapter 2100 of the United States Patent and Trademark Office’s Manual of Patent Examining Procedure.
