Eugene Goryunov is an experienced trial lawyer who represents clients in complex patent matters involving many diverse technologies. Goryunov is deeply involved in all aspects of trial in Federal courts, at the ITC involving Section 337 investigations, at the USPTO, and in appeals

to the Federal Circuit. He regularly serves as trial counsel in jury trials in Federal court and counsel in direct and interlocutory appeals to the Federal Circuit. He also serves as second-chair counsel in numerous inter partes review and covered business method review trials at the USPTO on behalf of both petitioners and patent owners. To date, Goryunov has prepared and/or filed nearly 50 petitions requesting post- grant review with the USPTO.

 

Goryunov is also a regular contributor to various intellectual property publications; he has published more than 30 articles, many of which relate to issues in post-grant review trials at the USPTO. He has also taught patent litigation at the University of Notre Dame.
